....don't ya just feel like one of these sometimes? Moved around and manipulated by someone else. The recent "Climategate" news....or more precisely....the lack of coverage about it makes me wonder how much true control I have over my own life.

The article is written by Edwin Westhoff. Thedirect link to the explanation is http://www.diagonalmethod.info/ . Incredibly interesting tool for composition. According to Westhoff's research, the "great" painters and photographers actually appear to apply this method more than the "rule of thirds" or the Golden Rectangle. Well worth a read!

Well, since moving from Brooklyn to Southern NJ, I've visitted NYC twice.....heh.....yeah, can't stay away from the place. Both visits were to meet up with photographer friends (and new photographer aquantinces) I've met over the years. The three above are just some of the most recent meet ups.

As you can imagine, most photographers don't relish being on the "other end" of the camera, but these chaps were very accomodating....thanks guys!

well, haven't posted anything in over 2 years, so i'm gonna make the effort.

So, what's been going on in two years? Moved to Brooklyn NY from southern NJ. Got a job with B&H Photo in NYC. Crazy schedule left little room for shooting let alone a blog or website. Last fall my foot got infected, and put me out of commision until March of this year. And also around that time got laid off from B&H. So I am among the ranks of the unemployed now.......and back in southern NJ. Could barely afford rent in NYC when I had a job....no job....impossible!

But, moving to southern NJ has it's benefits. I get to see my 5 year ofd twin grandsons a whole lot more.

The time has come. I am putting the finishing touches on an eCommerce website that will host my pictures that are for sale. The listing is but a small portion of the images you have seen on this photoblog and my website. This is due to the cost of the eCommerce site that would allow unlimitted items. But I am planning a system you may special order any prints you want via normal email. However, I believe I have provided a nice collection in my selections.

They will be printed via an Epson 4800 printer, using Epson's K3 inks, on Crane Museo Silver Rag, mounted using museum mount corners, onto Westminster Bright White 100% Rag Mat Board. Black & White prints will be done via Epson's Advanced Black & White proprietory printing method. When color prints are available, in the not to distant future, they will be printed via a fully calibrated monitor and Museo supplied paper/printer profile for the Epson 4800 and their Silver Rag. All prints will be quality inspected under a D50-compliant (daylight-balanced) halogen light fixture to ensure they agree with my calibrated monitor.

There will be available an Open Edition, 5x7 inch print mounted on an 8x10 inch mat and signed (not numbered), at a very reasonable price. And for those that prefer a Limitted Edition Print (Limtted Edition is limitted to 100 prints per image), numbered, and signed. These prints and mats will vary according to aspect ratio and size as I feel they need to be printed. Furthermore, I believe that frames are a very personal matter, and there fore I have decided to allow you, the customer, to select and purchase your own.

You will be able to use your credit card via PayPal for the transaction. All personal and credit information will be kept in the highest confidence and protection. Prints will ship within 14 days of credit approval.

As I am winding up the selection of images to offer for sale with the opening of this Print Shop, I thought I might give you, my potential customers, an opportunity to suggest some of your personal favorites. I don't usually post anything but pictures on this site, but i recently found a music website that I like. Been listenning to it for over a month now, and all it does is get better. Pandora lets you create your own radio station based upon a music group, then from it's data base plays it and other groups they consider related. This "related" list is actually populated by you, because you let them know what you think of the choice, and I guess if enough people say the same thing, they modify it. They also periodically add, by suggestions they gather, groups to your radio station. You can have several radio stations

....and it's free.......although they do eventually ask you to register. But, the only email I have gotten from them in the last month are when they upgrade your radio station with more selections. Pretty cool. No, I am not affiliated with them in any way, shape or form. Just think they do a really nice job of what they do.........and i appreciate that a lot.

Of course, they also have a method of you adding your favorites in a list, which of course has links to places on the web to buy the music..........heh...........you didn't think you'de get away from some sort of "buy me" now did ya?! No, I have bought nothing, just listen to them.........heh.
